- Radiation Oncology Physician (MD/DO) - Head and Neck Cancers - UNC School of Medicine

The Department of Radiation Oncology in the School of Medicine at UNCChapel Hill invites applications for a tenure or nontenure track faculty position (track and rank dependent on qualifications) with a clinical focus on head and neck cancer. The department is seeking candidates with a strong interest in academic research, including laboratory research, clinical translational research, and/or physicsbased research. Proton therapy experience is preferred but not required. Leadership roles in head and neck cancer, proton therapy, and other areas may be available depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates must possess an MD degree with subspecialty training in Radiation Oncology and be ABR certified or eligible.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- MD/DO degree
- Residency in Radiation Oncology
- ABR certified or eligible
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Strong interest in academic research (laboratory, clinical translational, or physicsbased)
- Primary clinical focus: head and neck cancers
- Broad clinical abilities
- Proton therapy experience preferred
- Radiopharmaceutical Authorized User (AU) status desired but not required
