The Division of Hematology and Oncology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center seeks a fellowship-trained, Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join its Gastrointestinal (GI) Medical Oncology Program.
Position Highlights
The ideal candidate will have specialized training and a strong clinical interest in the treatment of adult gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies, along with a demonstrated commitment to clinical and/or translational research in these disease areas.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient oncology care at Loyola University Medical Center.
Participate in weekly multidisciplinary GI oncology clinics alongside surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, and radiology colleagues.
Develop and conduct clinical and/or translational research focused on gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance patient care, research initiatives, and program growth.
Teach and mentor hematology/oncology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree.
Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
Clinical expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies.
Demonstrated interest in clinical and/or translational research.
This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:
Competitive starting compensation between $280,000 - $475,000
